Druids are one of the most versatile classes in 5e 2014, but their feat selection splits sharply along subclass lines. Circle of the Moon Druids are shape-shifting tanks who want survivability and fast initiative. Caster Druids (Land, Stars, Dreams, Spores) concentrate on control spells and want concentration protection above all. The universal Druid priorities are Wisdom 20 and a concentration protection feat. Everything else varies by subclass.
Druids receive four ASI/feat slots by level 12 and have Wisdom as their primary stat.

Druid Feat Priorities
- Wisdom 20 - Spell save DC and prepared spells scale directly
- War Caster or Resilient (Con) - Concentration protection is critical for all Druids
- Tough - Moon Druids in particular benefit from extra HP across two HP pools
- Alert - Wild Shape and first-round control spells both benefit from going first
Top Feats for Druid
● War Caster
Druids in melee range (Moon Druids before Wild Shape, Land Druids using Shillelagh) need concentration protection with hands full. War Caster covers somatic casting and provides advantage on concentration saves. For caster Druids, Resilient (Con) often competes favorably. War Caster guide
● Resilient (Constitution)
Caster Druids who maintain range and concentrate on Entangle, Spike Growth, Conjure Animals, or Polymorph want Constitution proficiency. The Wisdom bump from Fey Touched is a competing option, but Resilient (Con) is the more reliable concentration insurance for non-melee Druids. Resilient guide
● Fey Touched
Free Misty Step once per long rest. The Wisdom bump improves spell save DC. Bless as the chosen enchantment spell delivers party-wide support from a free cast. Outstanding on any Druid subclass. Fey Touched guide
● Tough
Moon Druids have two HP pools: their regular HP and Wild Shape HP. Tough adds to their regular HP, which means they can Wild Shape more frequently from a full pool before the regular HP starts taking damage. Even non-Moon Druids benefit from the extra HP on the frontline. Tough guide
● Alert
Going first lets Druids cast Entangle, Spike Growth, or Conjure Animals before enemies can position or act. Moon Druids who want to Wild Shape and charge need to act first to transform before the enemy acts. Alert's +5 initiative matters a great deal here. Alert guide
● Lucky
Versatile safety net for death saves, concentration checks (before War Caster or Resilient), and important spell saves. Good on any Druid subclass when other primary feats are secured. Lucky guide
● Telekinetic
Bonus action shove is excellent for pulling enemies into Spike Growth or Entangle zones. Pairs well with area control Druids. Wisdom bump is always useful. Less valuable for Moon Druids who frequently use Wild Shape as their bonus action. Telekinetic guide
● Skill Expert
Adds a Wisdom bump and expertise in Nature, Perception, or Animal Handling. These skills fit the Druid identity. Solid pick in skill-heavy campaigns once primary feats are secured. Skill Expert guide

Sentinel: Druids are not primarily designed to lock down melee range. Their Wild Shape and concentration spells prefer positioning freedom.
Magic Initiate: Druids have a broad spell list and daily preparation. The feat adds minimal cross-list utility compared to concentrating on Wisdom and concentration protection.
Sharpshooter: Druids are not ranged weapon attackers.
Example Feat Progression
Level 4: War Caster (Moon Druid) or ASI Wisdom (caster Druid). Moon Druids going into melee before Wild Shape need War Caster early. Caster Druids can push Wisdom to 18 first and delay concentration protection.
Level 8: Resilient (Con) (caster Druid) or Tough (Moon Druid). Caster Druids want Constitution proficiency to protect their control spells. Moon Druids want extra HP to Wild Shape more aggressively.
Level 12: Fey Touched (Wisdom bump + free Misty Step + free Bless). By level 12, primary survivability is handled. Fey Touched is the most efficient utility pickup for any remaining slot.
FAQ
Which Druid subclass changes feat priorities most? Moon Druids want Tough + Alert; caster Druids want War Caster + Resilient.
Can Druids use War Caster in Wild Shape? Only for concentration saves from hits taken in beast form, not for somatic casting while wild shaped.
Why can Druids not use metal armor? Class rules restrict Druids to non-metal materials. Maximum AC is typically hide + wooden shield.
Is Fey Touched worth it? Yes, one of the most efficient feats for any Druid subclass.
Is Telekinetic good for Druids? Yes for area control Druids, less so for Moon Druids who use Wild Shape as their bonus action.
