Guild hall interior with adventurers gathered around a map table

About the Guild

Built by Players, for Everyone at the Table

We started as a spreadsheet of class ratings and a Discord server. We grew into the resource we always wished existed — practical, deep, and genuinely multi-system.

Our Mission

The TTRPG resource that takes the craft seriously

Most TTRPG content online falls into two camps: Reddit threads where the advice is buried under twelve conflicting opinions, or YouTube videos that pad five minutes of useful information into forty. We built something different.

The Role Players Guild exists to give players, GMs, and creators the depth they deserve. That means rated class guides with real mechanical reasoning, not just vibes. It means covering Tales of the Valiant and Pathfinder 2e with the same rigor we apply to D&D. It means treating the business of running games — pricing, finding clients, managing a roster — as worthy subject matter.

We are not affiliated with any publisher. We call things as we find them.

What We Stand For

Four principles we don't compromise on

Depth Over Breadth

A single well-analyzed class guide is worth more than fifty shallow overviews. We write the content we wanted when we were learning — rated, reasoned, and mechanically honest.

Multi-System by Default

D&D is not the only game. We cover Tales of the Valiant, Pathfinder 2e, D&D 2024, OSR systems, and more — with equal care for each. No system gets second-class treatment.

No Gatekeeping

You don't need to prove credentials to belong here. GMs who are new to the business side, players optimizing their first character, creators publishing their first map — all welcome.

Craft and Commerce Together

Running games is both an art and, increasingly, a profession. We treat the business of being a GM or creator with the same respect we give mechanical content — no apologies for caring about both.

Who This Is For

Three audiences. One platform.

Game Masters

You're already running games. You want to get paid, run better sessions, or build something sustainable. We cover the business side with the same seriousness as the craft — pricing, clients, campaign systems, VTT tools.

GM Business Guides

Players

You want to understand your class without wading through forum threads. Our reference guides give you rated breakdowns, subclass comparisons, feat synergies, and clear verdicts — across every major system.
