The Role Players Guild Podcast

Come On The Show

We talk to people who actually make money running or creating for tabletop RPGs - paid GMs, coaches, publishers, dice makers, destination-game hosts, platform operators. If that's you, we want to hear the business side in your own words. No minimum following, no full-time requirement - paid is the only bar.

Before You Start

Questions You Might Be Asking

Do I need a big following?

No. We are interested in what you actually do for money in tabletop RPGs - paid GM, coach, creator, store operator, whatever it is - not your subscriber count. Some of our best guests had a small, quiet audience and a lot to say.

Do I need to be full-time at this?

No. The only bar is getting paid - side money counts as much as a full-time living. "Professional" means paid, not full-time. If someone has handed you money for running or creating a game, you qualify.

Will you ask for my exact rates?

Only if you want to share them. The application asks how you price your work in your own words - no dollar figure required. Plenty of guests talk pricing in ranges or principles instead of exact numbers.

How long is the recording?

Most conversations run 45 to 90 minutes, but you can tell us your preference on the form and we will work with it. There is no fixed script - it is a conversation about your business, in your words.

Is it live?

No. Every episode is recorded ahead of time, so there is no pressure to be perfect in the moment. If something does not land the way you wanted, we can talk about it before it goes out.

What if I've never been on a podcast before?

That is completely fine - most of our guests hadn't either. Tell us on the form and we will walk you through the setup beforehand so recording day is easy.

Tell Us About You

Tell us enough that we can write good questions before we ever get on a call.

Logistics and consent

Mic/camera quality, have you been on video podcasts before.

Every episode is recorded ahead of time, never live. If something does not land the way you wanted, we can talk about it before it goes out.

OK to clip this episode for shorts/reels? *

Short clips get cut from the recording for social. If you answer no, we skip yours - it is a separate question from the one above on purpose.

We read every one of these. This is an invitation, not a competition - there is no shortlist you can fail to make. You will get a confirmation email right away.
