Last updated: April 2026

Agreement to Terms

Acceptance

By accessing and using The Role Players Guild, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after updates means you accept the new terms.

User Eligibility

Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use this platform. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.

Jurisdiction

You must comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to restrict access to users in certain jurisdictions if required by law.

Account Responsibility

Account Creation

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. You agree not to share your login credentials with anyone. You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether authorized or not.

Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and keep it updated. Providing false information violates these terms and may result in account termination.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or engaged in harmful, fraudulent, or illegal activity.

Platform Use & Content

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the platform to post, share, or transmit content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, or infringes on anyone's intellectual property rights. This includes sexual content involving minors in any form.

Your Content License

When you post content (guides, campaign notes, character builds, images), you grant The Role Players Guild a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content on the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

Third-Party Content

The Role Players Guild is not responsible for third-party content, links, or recommendations. We do not endorse external sites, creators, or publications linked from our platform.

System & Publisher Content

Game systems, settings, and published content are owned by their respective publishers (Wizards of the Coast, Paizo, etc.). The Role Players Guild is a fan community and educational platform, not affiliated with or endorsed by these publishers. We comply with all fair use and intellectual property laws.

Game Finder & Booking

Booking Agreements

Game Finder bookings are agreements between players and GMs. The Role Players Guild is a platform facilitating these connections and is not a party to the booking. We are not responsible for cancellations, no-shows, disputes over game content, or personal conflicts.

Player Responsibility

Players are responsible for adhering to agreed session times, reading campaign notes provided by the GM, and treating other players and the GM with respect. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from sessions or account suspension.

GM Responsibility

GMs are responsible for accurately describing campaigns, notifying players of cancellations or changes, and maintaining a respectful environment. GMs must honor the agreed session frequency and content warnings.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes over sessions, cancellations, or refunds should first be handled directly between the parties. If unresolved, users can file a formal dispute through the platform. We will mediate in good faith, but our decision is final.

Market & Purchases

Creator Content

Digital content sold through The Role Players Guild (guides, character packs, campaign modules, art assets) is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, or claim authorship of creator content.

Pricing & Refunds

Prices are subject to change. Purchases are final and non-refundable unless you have a legitimate complaint (content not as described, technical failure to deliver). Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase.

Instant Delivery

Digital purchases are delivered immediately upon payment confirmation. We are not responsible for download failures due to your internet connection or device issues.

Creator Payouts

Creators earn a percentage of sales after platform fees. Payouts are processed monthly. We require valid tax information and banking details. Creators are responsible for all tax obligations in their jurisdiction.

Intellectual Property

Platform IP

The Role Players Guild name, logo, design, features, and code are owned by The Role Players Guild or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or use these without permission.

User Content Rights

You retain all rights to content you create and upload. However, you grant us the license described in the Platform Use section above. Do not upload content you don't have rights to.

DMCA Compliance

If you believe content on our platform infringes your intellectual property rights, send a detailed DMCA notice to [email protected]. Include the infringing content, your claim, and proof of ownership.

Payment & Billing

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Stripe. By making a purchase, you authorize us to charge your payment method. You are responsible for keeping your payment information accurate.

Billing Disputes

If you notice an unauthorized or incorrect charge, contact us within 30 days at [email protected]. We will investigate and issue refunds if warranted.

Subscription & Recurring Charges

If your account includes recurring charges (e.g., for ongoing campaigns or creator content subscriptions), you authorize automatic billing on the schedule specified. You can cancel anytime in your account settings.
